Exercise Title: Deeper understanding of DoF
Purpose: Really pay attention to how your settings for aperture, speed, distance to subject and focal length can affect the in and out of focus areas in an image

Method: Find a location with a decent leading line, i.e. fence, railway line etc. Place your subject at various distances to you and for each one take images at varying focal lengths and aperture.
Analyse:
Pay careful attention when back at your computer, in particular, on the leading line to see how much of it is in focus. Note which images you really like and take a closer look at the image along with the camera settings to fix that knowledge in your mind for when a similar photographic situation occurs.

Feedback: From your comments looks like you got a lot out of this exercise....even if the model wasn't particularly helpful ;-)
